My Story
I live in Farmington, Utah with my husband and two children. My Scentsy story began when a Scentsy Buddy was donated to my daughter during our 695-day stay in the hospital after she was born. For close to two years (of which we never missed a day with her), she was dependent on a tracheostomy tube and a ventilator that was only available for use in an intensive care unit. Our Scentsy Buddy (Sasha the Bear, a former Cause product) was a tremendous comfort, and quite memorable to me. While my daughter's rocky start to life is now behind us, her medical journey is far from over. Any special-needs family can tell you about the long-term expense and hardships involved with caring for a medically fragile child.
In 2017, my husband was diagnosed with a rare form of Leukemia that turned out to be resistant to treatments. He received a life-saving bone marrow transplant from his brother, who was a perfect match. We are working towards remission, which could still take quite awhile to achieve. After some rare and frightening complications, we are hopeful for the future.
When it came time for me to think about earning extra income while also having the freedom to take care of my family, I thought back to that Scentsy Buddy in my daughter's room. Joining the Scentsy Family was one of the best decisions I've made. Scentsy enables me to make those ends meet so my family can worry less and enjoy life a little more. It has led me to opportunity and lifelong friendships that I never could have imagined.
